With one high school senior graduating in 1986, its last year of operation, the Pisek School and its youngest alum gained a fleeting moment of national notoriety. Now a private residence, the school building’s exterior has seen little change. The fourstory Pisek School, built in 1913, is a Classical Revival style building designed by a well-known Grand Forks architect, John W. Ross. The building is red pressed brick with a poured concrete foundation and Bedford limestone trim. The building is not open to the public.
