A grand example of the fine craftsmanship completed by those who found work with the Works Progress Administration (WPA) during the Great Depression, the Walsh County Courthouse exhibits a great degree of artistic quality in its decoration. Dedicated in 1940, the building’s design is a showcase of a diverse collection of metals, woods and marbles and is the only courthouse of Art Deco styling in the northeastern part of the state. Open 8:00 to 12:00 and 12:30 to 4:30 Monday thru Friday.
